GETTING STARTED

Make your first call in 60 seconds.

Malinal is a standard REST API: Bearer-token auth, JSON responses, predictable URLs. Works from any language with an HTTP client.

1

Get your API key

Request access at malinal.ai/signup. Once approved, your key shows up in your dashboard. Authenticate every request with Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY.

info Treat your API key like a password. Store it in environment variables, never commit it to a public repo.
2

Make your first call

Try the AAPL profile endpoint. It returns sector, industry, headquarters, CEO, and a business description — and confirms your key works.

info All endpoints live under https://api.malinal.ai/v1. The base URL never changes between environments.
3

Parse the response

Every endpoint returns JSON with a stable schema. Symbols are uppercase tickers; dates are ISO-8601; numbers are USD unless explicitly named otherwise (ratios, percentages, share counts).

info AI-generated fields always include a last_updated timestamp so you know how fresh the analysis is.
